Isola Verde Camping Nettuno Rome is close to Castel of Sangallo

The Fort of Sangallo is a fortress located on the seaside near the old town of Nettuno, close to Isola Verde Camping Nettuno Rome. It was realized according to the will of Cesare Borgia, on behalf of his father, who at the time was Pope Alessandro VI. It was built in order to create a strategic point of protection to the port of Nettuno.
The work was commissioned to Giuliano da Sangallo, whose drawings had been reviewed by his brother architect Antonio da Sangallo the Old (who gave the name to the Fort).
